Necromancy

Minax Stronghold

I have heard many stories on the origin of Necromancy Regs, and the location of their spawns. At least on atlantic, there is no spawn for these items, and I strongly feel that most shards to do not spawn these items either. However, these items were a direct result of many quests. This is why you will see prices such as 1-2 Million Gold each on the older shards (Such as Atlantic), yet on some of the newer shards necro regs sell for as much as 5-7 million gold each. Although I was not a winner of this quest, there was a Seer run quest on atlantic that finished its quest in the Hedge Maze. The reason I bring up this story is that the top three winners of this quest received a bag of 25 of each necro reg. At the time, this was not a big deal, especially when one considers the fact that Necromancy was strongly believed to be put in shortly, and thus the Seers were really only giving out a consumption type item. Necromancy never did come, and those items became of a rare variety.

Update April 12, 2003: Due to an exploit approximately 8 months ago many necromancy reagents were duplicated. Several stackable rares (noteably furs and necromancy reagents) were created by the hundreds, if not thousands. This is why these items, while still desirable, were devalued greatly.
